Being recommended by a mutual associate I worked with SMOC to modernize an out-dated website. I set a schedule working as a freelancer in the evenings and was able to complete their project on time and on budget.
Tasks included
- Develop modern website using the WordPress website platform as a web content management system (CMS)
- Define the scope of the project, including features and functionalities
- Create the website’s visual design, including layout, color schemes, and typography, matching their overall branding
- Write HTML, CSS, and JavaScript code when required for functionality
- Ensure scalability and reliability of the website
- Test website functionality across different devices and browsers
- Configure server settings and regularly update content and features as needed
- Optimize over 100 articles with better SEO practices

Website tools and technology have evolved continually, shaping the way we create, manage, and interact with content. From content management systems (CMS) like WordPress and Umbraco to e-commerce platforms like Shopify and WooCommerce, these tools simplify website development and maintenance. Moreover, advancements in web technologies such as HTML5 and CSS3, as well as JavaScript frameworks like jQuery and React have enabled the creation of highly interactive and visually appealing websites. I regularly use these tools and technologies on websites I design. I am also continually researching new methods to create more robust web experiences.
